Last year when I saw photographer Josh Goleman‘s work on Adam and Halli’s Wedding, I was immediately captivated. I’ve seen a lot of wedding photos in the past, but none have affected me on an emotional level as this one. These photos capture all the intimate details and tell a story. I felt like I was at the wedding. I’ve never been a fan of staged wedding photos where people just stand there and pose. Many years after you’re married, it’s all those little moments you’ll miss.
I didn’t realize how hard it is to shoot candid shots until I attempted my first photo journal. It’s more than just pressing the shutter thoughtlessly. If you’re interested please take a look.

I looked at these when you mentioned them on Twitter, but when I saw this pop up in my feed reader I ahd to have another look.. such warm photos! At first I wasn’t sure why you were so excited by them, then when I got about a dozen or two deep I couldn’t help but be so warmly engaged by them.. thanks for sharing such a wonderful link :)
And I really liked your photos too — especially the darker ones that just have the slightest shadows of light (1st dozen or so).. and I couldn’t help but smile when I saw the one of the flags and remembering when you were first working on Cleartype

@Alex, thanks! I always admire those creatives whose work can move me, whether it’s a photographer, or film director, or web designers even. I’m sure Josh Coleman has a nice DSLR, but these photos could’ve been taken with a cheap camera too. It just goes to show that the tool doesn’t matter, it’s the “eye” that matters.
Speaking of ClearType I haven’t had time to updated it in so long, maybe one day…

I’ve mentioned this already, but I’m going to say it again… you have one of the most amazing blogs out there.
Keep it up, Jin.
